SD Lifeguarding classes

 

This is a BLENDED ONLINE AND IN-PERSON CLASS. The links will be provided to you in the confirmation letter upon registration. Please note that enrollment tends to be low during the months of October, November and December and classes may be postponed if the minimum student requirement is not met. You will then have an option of a complete refund or first priority in a future class of your choosing if your class is canceled or postponed.

 

ALL BREAKWATER AQUATICS CLASSES WILL NOW BE CONDUCTED OVER 3 DAYS AND WILL INCLUDE A FRIDAY EVENING LECTURE FROM 4:30 - 9:30 in our classroom. 

 

Friday          4:30PM- 9:30PM

For Long Beach and northern area classes 1450 North Viking Way (Breakwater Aquatics classroom)

For San Diego area classes 2621 Denver Street unit C2 up the stairs (Frontline Allied Health classroom)

Saturday    7:30AM- 5:30 PM

Sunday        7:30AM to 5:30 PM

 

 

• Professional certified Lifeguards are required to carry both (adult and pediatric) resuscitation masks which we will use in class for the CPR and rescue scenario portions.

The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services personnel take over.

 

We have a strict cancellation and no-show policy. There are absolutely no refunds for no-shows, so be sure of your schedule before signing up for our classes.

The following is a link to a suggested video describing the pretest. Please make sure that you are able to pass the pretest. If you can not pass you will not be allowed to continue with the certification class and you will be charged a $30 booking fee and refunded the remainder of your registration.
