Please consider your skills and knowledge level before registering for this class. Your past certification does not entitle you to a renewed one. You must pass all tests. If you have not worked recently as a lifeguard or feel that you will not be able to pass with the one day class, you should consider the full class for a complete review of the skills. We will not refund or retest a failed review class.
You will still be tested to your knowledge and skill at the same level as a first time lifeguard to receive your recertification so we require you to finish the online content.
-You must pass the pre-requisite test and show proof of certification which is not more than 30 days expired.
-You must pass all required tests and skills demonstration to be re-certified.
You will need both an appropriate adult and Infant size mask for this class
PLEASE NOTE: in the past few weeks we have had more than a few recertifying lifeguards come to our classes without basic level skills and we have had to turn people away for not being prepared for the Recert class. We will be testing your CPR Professional skills and if you can not do basic critical care skills, we will not let you into the class for concern of having to fail you at the end of the day.
As we stated in the registration section for this class, Just because you qualify for a recert class does not mean you should always take one. Be honest with your skills and knowledge and come to this class prepared.
You are expected to have the knowledge and skills that a WORKING lifeguard is expected to have and this review class is a refresher not a reteaching of the basics.
Everyone including our program loses if we have to turn you away at the door.
