This is a BLENDED ONLINE AND IN-PERSON CLASS. You will be required to finish the online content which is available on our website and in your confirmation letter upon registration.
ALL BREAKWATER AQUATICS LIFEGUARD CLASSES WILL NOW BE CONDUCTED OVER 3 DAYS AND WILL INCLUDE A FRIDAY EVENING LECTURE FROM 4:30 - 9:30 in our classroom.

#1) 150 Yard/Meter Swim (6 x 1- lengths of the pool) then tread with no hands for 2 min and then continue the swim for 50 yards/meters - The purpose of this test is to show that your endurance and skill in swimming is at the level of the requirements of the rescues. You will need to swim this test using Freestyle/front crawl with your head down and side breathing or a good competent breaststroke. You should not be struggling at the end of the swim.
#3) Swim 20 meters or 1 length, dive down 7-10 feet and retrieve a 10 lb weight and swim back with two hands on the brick.
IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO DO THESE SKILLS YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO JOIN THE CLASS.
